Celebration of Dipawali in Omkarananda
Ashram Himalayas,

Dipawali, the beautiful
festival of Light, Prosperity and Peace, was celebrated
in Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas in a traditional manner
with a special Mahalakshmi and Ganesha Puja, beautiful
flower decorations and colourful shining lights in the
whole Ashram area and the surrounding Temples, like
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir, Omkara-Mahaganapati
Mandir, Shri Mahakala-Bhairava Mandir, Omkarananda
Shanta-Durga Mandir, etc.

special Lakshmi-Ganesha Puja

beautiful flower-Rangoli with real Deepas in
the Mandap of
Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir |
At sunset, all Ashramites,
devotees and priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas
started lighting beautiful Deepas in and around all
Omkarananda Ashram Temples and houses. Numerous small
lights were shining in the darkness and delighting the
hearts of all devotees.
In view of urgent need for
environment protection specially with regard to air and
noise pollution, the Ashram authorities had requested
urgently all inmates and employees of Omkarananda Ashram
Himalayas not to use any loud fire crackers, but
celebrate Dipawali in the traditional peaceful way with
prayers and Deepas.
Therefore the surrounding
around Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, in Omkarananda
Nagar, was charged with peace, prayers and the shining
light of real Deepas, evoking an atmosphere of divine
Light and divine Peace. OM.
